Established in 2013 RDD is a leading retail POS manufacturer with a highly skilled design development team. We work with agencies to bring brands' retail design to life - from bespoke installations to mass manufacturing of display stands. We have grown significantly over the past few years and have recently consolidated our main studio and fabrication operations on a single site.


With 35+ employees we are now looking for an experienced Junior Project Manager to join our team in Leicester.





Reporting to the Operations Director, the Junior Project Manager will be responsible for:


  • Assisting the management of process for assigned projects
  • The development of project plans to include; total cost, quality, delivery and distribution of all production project materials
  • Assisting with both “ball-park” and specific estimating of projects and components in terms of time, cost and margin
  • Assisting in development of quotations—costs, tooling, overhead, margins, packaging, quantities, etc.
  • Assisting in assessment and selection of suppliers, negotiate and purchase all required components within established budgets
  • Establishing supplier production schedules and quality plans to meet client and internal specifications
  • Monitoring production to ensure quality standards and delivery schedules are met
  • Improving knowledge on related matters such as materials, estimates and production needs
  • Working closely with cross functional teams to support project deliverables
  • Dealing with client queries and complaints efficiently and professionally
  • Ensuring accurate records of project briefs, budgets, meetings, amendments, reviews and any other communications are created and maintained
  • Carrying out mid-point and completion reviews of every project, reporting to management team and working with them to implement any resulting improvements identified
  • Liaising with RDD departmental managers and internal production to ensure delivery of high-quality output
  • Clarifying drawing sign offs
  • Setting up production lines
  • Liaising with managers and supervisors to assist with ordering parts
  • Serving as a technical resource on related matters such as materials, estimates and production needs
  • Quality and client sign off process



Key Skills and Experience


  • 1+ year of POS industry experience
  • Experience in communicating with manufacturing suppliers
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience of CRM and Project Management tools advantageous
  • Strong written and oral communications skills including technical writing
  • Work well in a team or individually, completing specified tasks under own initiative or under direction
  • Quality Control
  • Passionate about work and success, energetic and engaging, assumes ownership of work
  • Flexible and able to self-manage time and schedules in a deadline driven environment
  • The ability to work in a logical, systematic manner
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met and security of warehouse is upheld



General Terms and Conditions


Base: 16 Wanlip Street, Leicester

Hours: Full time/40 hours per week between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm, with occasional intervention with later/night shift as required

Travel: You may be requested to travel to client sites throughout the UK

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £22,000 to £24,000
